Current Debate: Gay Rights

We'll start the collaborations with one of the most controversial props we must face: Prop 8: Gay rights. You will be debating your opinions on whether or not gay marriage should be allowed in the U.S. You may also give your thoughts on gay couples...whether it is right or wrong, etc. If you feel that this topic is too offensive to debate about, please respond with a thread in the feedback center of this category and I will feel free to change it. The winner of this collaboration will choose the next topic, and so on. It does not have to be a debate on an actual presidential issue, it can regard anything you wish. 2 debaters per party may participate, no more, and you have about a week or so to prepare. Alright, the debate has now officially started, the debaters may now begin to debate, which are johny, karel, jake and main. 2 debaters from each party. The debate will last from Saturday-Tuesday, and the winner will be announced on Tuesday. Let the debating begin :p Note: For kot's party, there were 3 debaters, and since it seems like bn hasn't been too active, i chose main and jake. If you wanna change this, pm me or naz and we will change it.

i believe, no matter what sexuality, the love between 2 people should be allowed. i dont want to use family guy as my source, but in 1 episode they proved a point. a happy gay couple has a more of right to marry than an unhappy straight couple. its not causing anyone harm, so they can do what they believe in. like people with foot fettishes, it may seem odd, but its what they feel.

I don't see why two people of the same sex can not be together, just as Karel said : ''a happy gay couple has a more of right to marry than an unhappy straight couple.''
If they want it like that why not? People find it awfully weird and unusual for two of the same sex, to 'marry'. but people have their own opinions.

are we gonna win this by default?
