Re: Eye for an Eye
I made a similar thread to this on Stackmans Forum.
..People called me stupid making a thread like this, and saying I beleive in if one person murdered someone, they would get murdered back.
And, if you raped someone, vis versa.
I think Hammurabi's Code shouldn't be followed at all.

I think it depends on the situtation. If your in a car with a person who has drugs on themselves, without your knowledge, you should not recieve the same punishment, which you do. On the other hand, if you are an accomplice to a murder you are inconsciously also killing that person. However, you recieve a lesser punishment. The two punishments should be switched in my thoughts...

that's a good thought main.. I think there would be a lot less shitty stuff go on in the world if there was a Universal law stating "Eye for an Eye." People would never do things to someone if they thought it might happen to them.

it would be good from a fairness standpoint, but people would see it as a human's rights violation. if the circumstnaces are looked at, it could work.

I don't like executions, but punishment...isn't that what jails are for (and schools :p)

But, that doesn't apply to death and murder.

Depends on the situation at hand: just let the law enforcement deal with it :p lol
Re: Eye for an Eye
an eye for an eye is similar to the golden rule.. and the golden rule is in the Bible.. just something to think about
